HistoryBack in 1970, a small group of families founded SWPCC. These families decided to administer and run the school themselves—hence our co-op designation—and quickly went about hiring professionally-trained teachers to foster a love of learning in their children. And we haven't looked back since! Over the past 50+ years, our co-op has seen hundreds of children pass through its doors, with many still coming back to visit and some even enrolling their own children.

PeopleAll of our teachers have extensive training in early childhood education. The teachers work with parents to guide children in developmentally appropriate activities including dramatic play, art, music, construction and block play, manipulative toys, co-operative games, storytelling, cooking, creative movement, and outdoor free play.

CommunityThe co-op model is a wonderful experience for kiddos and parents alike. While the focus is on the child development process, parents also experience a development process, learning from the teachers and other parents how to handle different situations. The co-op is a true community focused on supporting children and parents throughout the preschool years.
